There are several ways to remove a hardtop from a hardtop convertible. Some are held on by clamps in the front and back. Releasing these clamps allows one to remove the top for storage in the trunk or garage. Others only have clamps along the front windshield. One would undo these and manually fold the top back and secure it behind the seats. Lastly, some are power hardtops that are folded back into the trunk with the push of a button.
