Under the dash, directly under the headlight switch.
Answerunder the dash to the left of the steering column, built into the headlight switch.
There is a fuse box connected to the headlight switch which you can either access from underneath or by removing the instrument panel. The fuse box is connected to the headlight switch by a metal clip with a small retaining screw or pin. The fuse box uses only 4 fuses so you can easily replace them without removing the box from the headlight switch.
It is behind the dash and mounted on the light switch itself There are two ways to access it Remove the dash cluster or remove the light switch No fun either way
You have to reach up behind the dash and feel for a spring loaded button on the switch. If you have a new switch to install, notice the small button on the new switch. This will help you locate the button on the old one because you can not see it when the switch is installed. While you push in on the button you can pull the knob and shaft out of the switch from the front. Now you can unscrew the bezel/nut from the front and slide the switch out from under the dash to give you room to unplug the wire harness from the switch. If you have a new switch to install, the knob and shaft simply snaps back into place.

The cost of a 1961 Corvette would largely depend on the car's condition. However, one should expect to pay around $57,000 USD for a car in great to excellent condition.
The ignition switch is screwed on from the front. You can use a screwdriver to push up on one of the three slots on the outside of the switch. Once it is loose, you just unscrew it. Hold on to the switch along the back under the dash so you don't damage the threads.
