If your arms are thin enough, you can reach directly under the intake manifold and unscrew it. Under normal circumstances, jack up the front left wheel and remove it. You will be able to remove the oil filter much more easily.

Underneath the intake manifold. If you remove the front right wheel, you'll see it up behind the fender. For owners with thinner arms, you could remove the oil filter from the engine bay, reaching under the intake manifold.
remove the plug in oil pan, drain the oil from the oil pan, re-place the plug. remove/drain the old filter, replace with a new filter, add oil.

remove the drain plug... wait for old oil to drain. remove oil filter wait for oil to drain. install new oil filter. reinstall drain plug. fill with correct oil till full.

You need a flat screwdriver to remove the belly pan. A 12mm hex socket/wrench to remove the oil plug. and an oil filter wrench to remove the oil filter if it is too tight.
