Remove the retaining cover to your 2005 Chevy Malibu radio. Remove the radio retaining screws. Slide the radio out. Remove the wiring harness and the antenna cable.
To remove the radio remove the mounting screws for the center console. Pull the center console off the 2005 Acura TL. Remove the rest of the mounting screws and pull the radio.
To remove the dash to get to the radio from a 2005 Kia Optima, begin by prying around the edge of the trim around the gear shifter. Then, remove the screws from the bottom of the dash and pry the trim away from the radio area. This will expose the radio bezel.
Unscrew it.

# Remove the center trim panel # Remove the radio mounting screws then pull the radio out of the instrument panel just far enough to access the electrical connectors and the antenna cable on the back of the unit # Disconnect the electrical connectors and the antenna lead from the backside of the radio and remove the radio
It is not necessary to remove the dash. Only necessary to remove enough of the trim pieces to get the radio out. If you look carefully you will see what needs to be removed.

pop off the plastic bezel around the radio and you can access the bolts - remove bolts on radio - you will have to unplug several harnesses before removing -and easy job
There is a card in the glove box with the code or remove the radio and with serial number and vin call the dealer
push the a/c vents in on the top and remove the screws, you will have to look up in the vents to see them, remove the a/c knobs and the screws, pull a/c face plate off and remove four 10mm bolts hold the radio in the dash
2 screw front grile in the bottom and push your finger both hand on the back lower and pull the frame will come out then remove all socket to seprate grile then remove 2 screw for radio and socket.
