You should be able to access it when you remove the taillight lens from the rear pillar. Open the rear hatch - remove the screws holding the lens housing in place and carefully remove the lens housing from the pillar. The wires leading into the back of the lens housing are attached to the socket. Turn the socket slightly to unlock it and remove the socket and bulb.
The tail light is an assembly. The lens does not come off separately. The assembly is removed by lowering the tail gate, removing two screws, and pulling lamp rearward.
you need to remove the tail light lens. There is a large round plastic cap located behind the lens in the truck .Remove the cap and there is a black plastic nut that you can remove by hand, that will release the lens and you will be able to replace the bulbs.

The light bulb or the taillight lens? Open the trunk to replace the bulb.
Unsure exactly what you mean by a taillight "cover." If you are referring to the red lens piece - the taillight housings come as one-piece molded parts, and the entire taillight housing must be replaced. They aren't cheap - try an auto salvage yard first. If no luck, you'll have to purchase it through the dealer's parts dept.
Medicare will cover surgery to remove the cataract and replace your eye's lens with a man-made intraocular lens.
There are either one or two screws holding it in place. I can't remember now if you need to open the hatch or not.(It's been a yr since I took the taillight lens off) But,after you remove the screw(s) you just pull it straight off. You WILL feel resistance.
you are not supposed to get it off but if you really have to try by the trunk just get the carpet off where the lights are get them out ( the lights )and you'll see the brackets
four screws, one in each corner of the lens
