Type of car would help. Some regulators bolt in, some are held in with rivots that must be drilled out. You should be able to take the regulator loose and then remove it from the window track. GM's at some point went to rivots, can't speak about others. There should be enough room in the door to slide the regulator back and forth and get the 2 guides out of the track on the bottom of the window.
Some rear window defoggers are filaments built into the rear window that heat up when the rear defogger is turned on. This type of window should not be scraped with an ice scraper.
There is no interchange listed and they carry different part numbers. I had purchased the S-Type regulator off of e-Bay for $100 which is the lowest price I could find anywhere. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-window-regulator-motor-Jag-S-Type-S-Type-Front-DS_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ65Q3a12Q7c66Q3a2Q7c39Q3a1Q7c72Q3a1240Q7c293Q3a1Q7c294Q3a50QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem2ea64badf9QQitemZ200358473209QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

The voltage regulator is locate in one of two places. ***The voltage regulator is located in the alternator if you have an IAR type alternator*** ***The external voltage regulator (for the EVR-type alternators) is located on the driver's side wall, right next to the battery. It's much easier to see and/or remove if you remove the battery first. It has "Motorcraft" in raised lettering across the front*** I just had to remove mine.
It really depends on what type of vehicle it is since the process is different between makes, and models. There are resources online such as the 1aauto.com YouTube auto repair channel that has quite a few how to videos that show the DIY type person how to perform a repairs such as these. A link to the channel has been included below.
Not likely a fuse problem, but it wouldn't hurt to check the fuses, eh? More often than not, when one window stops working it is the window motor that has failed. However, it is possible that there is another type of failure, such as the window regulator, or a bad connection somewhere. I am not aware of any common window related problems with the 2002 models, is anybody?
