1. Place bike on centerstand 2. Remove the seat and both side covers 3. Remove the main fuel tank 4. Remove the bolt securing the regulator/rectifier and the electrical connecter panel. Move the panel out of the way 5. Disconnect the battery - negative and positive leads in that order, remove the battery vent tube from the battery slide the battery out of the frame. 6. Remove the rear wheel 7. Remove the rear fender. 8. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the low fuel level warning sensor. 9. Remove the mounting bolt and washer securing the secondary fuel tank to the frame. 10. Remove the secondary fuel tank from the frame.
