The shift solenoid B for a 1997 Chrysler Convertible is located inside the transmission. The speed sensor has to be removed to access the bolts to remove the cover over this shift solenoid.
To remove the gear shift knob on the '03 Silverado, first pry off the cover that has the shift pattern on it. Then, remove the screw that is under that cover to remove the knob.
To remove the console shift knob on the AT 1993 Olds Achieva, first pry the cover from the top of the shift knob. Then, access the single screw inside the cover of the shift knob and turn it counter-clockwise to release the knob.
To remove the gear shift knob on the SLK 320, first pry the cover from the gear shift knob. Then, use a screwdriver to remove the screw in the center of the knob. This will then allow the knob to be removed.
Remove the bolts holding the console down and remove.
Chrysler does not use modulator valves.
Remove the cover of the console..around 4 screw ..then lift the cover ,you can see the small bulb on it..
Remove the bottom of the rear seat. Notice a small metal cover over the top of the hump. Remove the cover to expose a joint for the shift likage. This joint can loosen up over time. Realign the joint and tighten securely.
Its not that hard all you have to do is take the five bolts out of the lower unit and disconect the shift linkage, then you just pull the lower unit from the engine and you have the cover that slides onto the driveshaft remove the 4 bolts from it and pull it off and there is your impeller istalation is reveres of removal
you have to take the plastic cover off. more then likely you'll have to cut it off (thats what i did), then underneath that there's a bolt you'll remove and the shift knob will come off.
First remove cover around gear shift pops right off and rotate 1/4 turn,next remove gear shift cover with small flathead screwdriver there are four tabs then rotate 1/4 turn.Next remove narrow plastic piece covering bulb.Remove clear plastic piece that surrounds bulb.Pull bulb out and replace very easy.No need to remove console use q-tips,tweezers,or superglue takes about 10 minutes
The shift solenoids are located on the valve body. you can get to it by removing the side cover on the transmission. The side cover is hard to remove. You have to lower the craddle down far enough to get it out. This can be diffucult without it being on a lift but it can be done.
