My 04 Tacoma 4x4 single cab came stock with 16" rims.
Get some nicrochrome sheet stock 0,1mm thick and 3 mm wide. Wind it up in a coil so it is the diameter of the socket.
YOu will need to remove the lower panel of the dash board, It houses the ash tary and cigarette ligter. there are four Phillips screws holding this panel in place. remove them and move your shifter into gear to pull the panel down and oaway there will be a wire connecter for the cig lighter you will need to uncouple... now you will have access to the underbelly of the car stereo. there will be one or two small Phillips/1/8th inch screw/bolts to remove and your head unit will slide out quite easily.

I believe the rarest of the cigarette cards is a Honus Wagner because he was very much opposed to smoking and when he found out his likeness was being used on a card in a pack of cigarettes he wwwent to the company producing these cards and forced them to remove his cards from their stock. There are a reported seven cards still in existence today.
So I have a 04 tacoma and one night i plugged my car charger into my ciggarette lighter and the stereo stopped working. The lights for the ashtray and the lights that illuminate the temp control knobs still work just not the CD player/radio... I had a CD in the radio and was able to press eject and it came right out... Did I short a circuit? Is the stereo dead? Can I fix it myself? Where and how much? Someone please help!!!
Remove the screws from the bottom of the stock on either side of the magazine well.
You'll need to remove an entire dash section that surrounds the radio and most of the bottom of the dash to access the radio. First thing to do is look for the screws that hold the dash section together. You'll need a socket wretch with multiple tips. Your looking at basicaly a square " 7" figure. That is, it starts from the driver door, runs over the steering column and goes down to the console surround the ac controls, radio and cigarette ligher and ashtray to the console. You can tell if you look that it's all one piece and needs to be removed. There should be screws starting from the right under side, and near the ignition. Find the screws you need to remove and then slowly pop out the panel starting from the left. The console section area simply pops out because it's held together by clips, you'll pull from the crease opening with your fingers. Remove the ash tray and cigarette lighter. You'll notice that the cigarette lighter socket is connected by wire connectors, they can be removed and reattached later. By then you should see the four screws that connect the radio to the chassis.
