how to remove a sunroof in a 1998 Saturn 4 door sedan
just done one of these. Disconnect battery!!. I'm presuming the sunroof is closed?. If so remove the control panel cover and remove electrical connector to PC board in sunroof control. Now you need to point a hair dryer at all the electrics and dry them out as much as possible. once dry, spray with wd40. now replace connector and reconnect battery. hopefully sunroof will now work. To prevent further leaks, clean out the sunroof drainer's with 2 meter piece of nett wire and washing up liquid with water. drainer's are located in both front corners of sunroof aperture.
it is about centered between the tailgate and overhead console back of the sunroof.
Open hood. Remove headlamp cover by unlocking retaining wires (wires open outward). Disconnect terminal. Remove bulb by pressing round ends and then pulling wire out. Replace bulb and re-assemble.
pull off the cover behind the switch. take off the 3 Phillips screws holding the shiny metal cover on, take cover off. Use a t-15 torx to take out the next 3 screws and pull off the motor. Slide sunroof closed. Button her up in reverse order.

To remove a valve cover on a 1998 Suburban, you need to take all of the valve cover bolts out. Lift the cover slightly, then see what is in the way of sliding it out (hoses, fuel rail, etc..) Remove and items blocking the removal then lift the cover off. Make sure to clean the cover and head of all old gasket material before installing a new gasket and bolting the cover back on.
