It is the kick-down cable that runs from the throttle body to the transmission.
Remove the breather, and it will be located on the back of the throttle body.
I think its called the "tv" line. its a cable that runs from your throttle to your transmission. the oe has a nylon washer that attaches the cable to the throttle linkage. if there is play at the throttle, then the washer is probably not there. Do not make any attempt to adjust it without that washer. an incorrect adjustment will ruin your overdrive in no time. you can get a replacement washer in brass(recommended) at the parts store or the dealer. hope this is helpful
Possibly need a transmission but one thing to check, under hood left side near throttle cable make sure linkage isn't popped out of tv cable bushing if this is the case this will certainly fry transmission. Hope this helps
Its in the back attached to the Throttle body on the drivers side next to the firwall.
in my Lincoln mark 8 1993, it was a sticky cable on the cruise control try disconnection the cruise control cable from the throtle body
Ground it to the vehicle frame or engine.
The shop manual would have it or at a Lincoln dealer parts department just ask the counter person.
Disconnect the positive cable from battery, carefully remove the console, disconnect the overdrive wire connection carefully, undue and replace with your new one.
Disconnect the electrical connections and remove the 4 bolts.
Unfortunately you have to remove the tank, siphon as much as you can and then remove the tank.
Disconnect positive battery cable, remove all the bolts and screws from the door panel, disconnect the electrical plugs and carefully remove the panel. Remove the two nuts that hold the handle on, remove the linkage and reverse procedure to install.
