First be sure to throw the breaker to cut off the electricity to the motor. At the back of the motor there is a plate secured with screws. Remove the screws and expose the terminals. Unscrew the terminal screws and remove the wires including the ground wire. You should now be able to pull the wires out through the casing and remove the motor.
