Velcro is usually stitched onto the items it is used on.

Lift one corner of one of the pieces of Velcro and you ought to see the thread. Using a sharp scissors, or a blade, cut the thread, taking care not to cut the clothing.

Once the thread has been cut you should be able to lift more of the Velcro away from the clothing. Keep snipping the thread as you go and it will eventually come away.

Do the same to the other piece of Velcro.

When you're finished you will probably need to pull out a few bits of loose thread which willl still be in the clothing. If the last piece won't come out, turn it inside out and see if you can find the knot where the thread is tied to itself.
