i have a 94 integra so I'm not sure if its the same but if you look at the rotor after taking the cap off you will see there is a space behind the rotor a little opening if you look while someone tries to crank the car you will see a screw when it is in the right spot be carful when you go to take it out if you strip it its going to be hell to get off once you have the srew out just pull it off
right under your distributor down a little lower.

The ignition module is screwed to the base plate of the distributor. Remove the distributor cap and rotor. Remove the two screws that hold it to the base plate. Unplug the two wiring clips from each end and replace.
Should be the "peel off" type Remove wheel Remove caliper mounting bolts Slide caliper off rotor Rotor should slid off hub
There is no Distributor cap or rotor in a 91 Mazda Miata. All years of the Miata use electronic computer controlled ignition systems.

Take off cap, check for slack in dist. bushings, See if the shaft can move side to side?, I bet so, Replace the distributor.
