Anti back firing system?, lol, what a bunch of hooey. If your truck is misfiring, you may need new plugs, check the easy 1st, plugs, distributor, you may just need to time it. Timing chain would be a last thing to check. And is it back firing thru the carb or exhaust, if it's the carb you have timing issues.
