Basically remove Assembly from car, remove motor from assembly, drill out rivets, replace faulty parts, bolt back together with supplied bolts and nuts.
An individual can find the tech specifications on the motor used in the Pontiac Fiero in the manual that came with the vehicle or on the Pontiac web site. There are also many auto repair manuals that can be purchased or perused at an auto parts supply store that will also have the information on the motor used in the Pontiac Fiero.

I'd suggest a lawn mower motor
Turn the cone shaped knob on top of each motor. The lamps will slowly go down. This will get them down but you will then have to repair the problem.
Replace the slow headlight motor.

If your relays are working properly, you might have a stripped gear in the motor. You can replace the gear or the motor depending on your resources. If the headlight is loose, the gear more than likely has teeth missing.
