First thing that I would do (if the motor runs) is clean the track and lubricate the heck out of any and all moving parts and slides. Wait for a half an hour and check.....make sure to not over run the motor and not burn it up A common problem with sun roofs is that sometimes the gears melt (as odd as it may seem, it happens a lot in different vehicles) or break. You could check the gears to make sure they look ok, otherwise they will have to be replaced.
