It is not too hard, I have had to replace on similar in my '95 Chevy and now I have to replace one in my '99 Tahoe. You can get the assembly at your local parts store. The assemble includes the locking mechanism as well. Part is approximately $30 - $40. I believe yo do not have to pull the door panel off, Just the molding around the handle. Here you may have to drill out the welds by the factory. Then you use the screws that come with the part. Make sure you notice the way the linkage is connected to the handle on the broken unit. install in reverse order. I hope this helps

I have replaced door handle on my 1993, you have to remove the interior door pannel. If it is broke off from door handle look at junk yards for a new handle, if you need the clips that hold it on check with a local gm dealer they sometimes have them or you can order them.
It is not too hard. You will have to remove the door panel, then you will see how the interior handle is riveted to the metal door frame work. You will need to drill these rivets out and install the new handle with either rivets or screws.
Skoda has multiple models, please specify which one you are interested in.
Should be able to access after removing interior door panel
Replace the outside door hanle, but first pull the interior door panel to see if the out side door handle linkage is busted.
The how-to will depend on the year and model. It is also necessary to know whether it is an inside or outside door handle.
My crock pot has a small chip on the handle. How can i repair this chip?
door handle has lock end and non-lock end. non-lock end is held to door by single bolt on latch side of door. remove bolt and slide door handle toward front of car. it will disengage from door. ease handle lock mechanism through opening in door. it will be broken, a known volkswagen design flaw. take handle to vw dealer and purchase repair parts ($20-$30). repair parts come with consumer friendly directions.
If the blade has a section that slides into the handle, I would use a 2 part epoxy glue on it. Instruction with the glue. If it has broken clean where the blade meets the handle, there is really not much that can be done. It can be welded, but it would always show the repair.
from the inside. take your door panel off and look around in there. the door handle is usually held on with pop rivets that have to be cut off from the inside of the door.
