ive done a lot of work to mine and i gota say the best thing you can do is got to be cut the exhaust off and wider tyres
They are self adjusting. The wear limit on the drums is only 1mm, and the minimum lining is 1mm, so if you have these limits, the adjusters are on the limit and won't work. However they may be seized.
just did a whole sound system on my 1990 KE laser so im guessing it will be the same. Its literally as easy as taking the cover off, pullling the speakers out, cut the wires and then connect ur new speakers in. May have to fiddle to figure out which is positive and negative terminal. 4"Speakers fit perfectly into the hole and 6" speakers fit perfectly in the back........hope this has helped:P
