According to the international automotive technicians network, of which I am a member, you will need to remove the instrument cluster and replace it with a remanufactured unit. It will have to be reprogrammed by the Ford dealership. ---------------------------------------- This is the intermittent odometer problem, which is very common is 1999 - 2003 F-series pickups (F150, F250, F350), as well as the Expedition and Explorer for the same years. There is no need to spend $600 or more replacing your instrument cluster. You can easily repair this problem yourself in about an hour.
