"Should" is a very subjective term, but I highly recommend replacing the stock ignition with a Crane HI-4, which is fully adjustable and has a proven reputation. It comes in single-fire or dual-fire versions; if you opt for single-fire you'll need to replace the stock coil with two coils (or a double coil). For most street applications dual fire is perfectly adequate.
