Disconnect the negative cable from the battery. Now disconnect the other end from its ground point. Take that cable to you local auto parts store and buy a replacement. Reverse the procedure to install it.
On a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe, the starter is located on the top of the engine just to the right of the heat protector. To replace it, you have to remove the negative cable on the battery, and then remove the starter cables. Then remove the 2 bolts that hold the starter in place.

The starter on a 1995 Hyundai Accent is mounted directly to the transmission. To find it trace the positive battery cable. Remove the two bolts that mount it to the transmission and unplug the wiring. Replace the unit.
while the car is running unhook the negative battery cable. If the car remains running then your alternater is good if it stalls then replace it.

Either replace entire cable or cut off with a hacksaw and replace cable end
1.Remove positive(Red) cable from battery. Will require a wrench or screwdriver.2.Remove negative(Black) cable from battery. Will require a wrench or screwdriver.3. Take out old battery. Weights about 25lbs. Remember to recycle it and not to throw it in the trash.4.Put in new battery, in place of new one.5.Replace the negative(Black) cable.6.Replace the positive(Red) cable.7.Test that car starts. You will most likely have to reset you favorite stations, and you clock.

The 2000 Hyundai alternator is located on the left-hand side of the engine, near the front. You can trace the positive battery cable from the battery to the alternator.
Unhook the cable from the Cavaliers battery. Find the opposite end of the cable and pull it out. Fit the new cable in following the old cables route. Connect the non battery end of the cable, then hook to the battery.
