1) open the hood. 2) Carefully remove the three screws holding the headlight assembly in place. In my case the screws were black. Be careful as they are screwed into plastic. 3) Carefully slide the headlight assembly out. At this point you can replace the headlight bulb, turn signal bulb, or the entire headlight assembly. To replace the headlight bulb turn the collar holding the bulb in counter clockwise. Pull the bulb out of the headlight assembly. Replace the bulb. Insert the bulb into the headlight assembly insert the collar and turn clockwise until it locks. 4) Carefully insert the headlight assembly back into place. 5) Replace the three screws removed in step 2 being carefull not to over tighten.
I need to replace the bulb on the driver side of my 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan. After searching this forum I found a similar question regarding the 2000 Caravan. It talked about under the hood removing three screws and pulling out the headlight assembly. I tried this and it worked on the 2003. 1) open the hood. Directions straight from the owner's manual. 1. Open the hood and remove the headlight assembly mounting screws. 2. Pull the headlight assembly forward to access the bulbs. 3. Turn the bulb assembly retaining ring counterclockwise and pull the bulb and socket assembly from the housing. 4. Remove the bulb from the socket and replace the bulb. 5. Reinsert the bulb and socket assembly and turn the retaining ring clockwise to secure the bulb. 6. Reinstall the headlight assembly.
Hi, There are three (3) wing nuts that have to be removed to take the headlight assembly out. Once they are removed, you simply pull the assembly up & out. I have included a link that shows these wing nuts and the process of taking the headlight assembly out. Good Luck!
On the top of each headlight assembly, you will see two small semi-circular tabs. Pull these tabs upwards - you may have to use a wrench or screwdriver to put some force into it, as they tend to get stuck with road salt and grime. Once they move upwards, about 3/4 inch or so, the headlight assembly will release. You can then pull the headlight assembly forward and out of the truck. It will be attached only by the wires. Rotate the lightbulb assembly counter clockwise, and the bulb will come out. Replace the bulb, put it back into the headlight assembly, and rotate it clockwise to lock it in. Replace the headlight assembly, making sure the three screw/nuts are in the locking tabs correctly. While pushing the headlight assembly inwards, press the two locking tabs back down. This will lock the headlight assembly back into the truck, and realign the headlight, so that it does not have to be aimed again.

Do not touch the glass on new bulb because the oil on your fingers can make bulb burn out. Open hood, locate plastic connector that goes into head light assembly, turn to left to remove, swap bulbs, replace into headlight assembly.
To change headlight on a 2007 Mazda 3, open the engine compartment hood and locate the back of the headlight to be changed. Twist the bulb off and replace.?æ

Most won't, possibly some will. If the Mazda 6 manual is like the Mazda 3, its not too bad of a maintence to do yourself. See sources and related links below for bulb information on your Mazda 6.
Ok simple lift hood up and on the headlight assembly you'll see 3 bolts "10mm socket size" take them out and the headlight assembly will pull out far enough for you to reach the bulb sockets. Change them and do everything in reverse. It had me going at first also! RJ
there is 3 10 or llmm nuts on the back of the headlight assembly, then once that is removed there will be 4 torx screws that hold the headlight trim in place, once these are removed then bumper fillers can be installed.
