Follow the fuel lines from the tank to the engine, and you will find it.
The fuel filter on a fuel injected car is on the frame on the driver's side just before the gas tank. If you have a carburated car it is in the inlet of the carburetor.
Inside of the front of the carburetor right where the fuel line goes in. Detach the fuel line and it will pop out.
It's in the carburetor, take the fuel line to the carb off and then the big nut on the carb and the fuel filter is behind the big nut.
It's usually in the carb. Take off the fuel line and unscrew the big fitting.
It is in the inlet to the carburettor. Remove the fuel line at the carburettor and then the large nut (1 inch). Remove the filter and be careful not to lose the spring.

It is in the inlet to the carburator. It will require a 5/8 inch wrench for the fuel line and a 1 inch wrench for the inlet fitting.
The fuel pump is mounted on top and inside the fuel tank. You must remove the fuel tank in order to access and replace the fuel pump.
The fuel filter may be plugged up, the one inside the carburetor.
You have to get up under the dash, and they go in with twist in sockets, to the back. I think their number is 194.
Remove the fuel line from the carburetor using a 5/8 and a 1 inch wrench. With the 1 inch wrench remove the fitting from the carburetor. Install the new filter with the spring first.jd
