To replace the radiator expansion tank on a 2004 Land Rover Discovery, first ensure the engine is cool, then remove the radiator cap to relieve pressure. Disconnect the hoses attached to the expansion tank and unscrew any mounting bolts securing it in place. Replace it with the new tank, reattach the hoses, and secure it with the bolts. Finally, refill the cooling system with the appropriate coolant and check for leaks.
It is just a expansion tank. Henry
how do I replace my 2005 fiesta expansion header tank
the plastic radiator and expansion tank
Unless I have drained the block and radiator, I have filled the radiator from my expansion tank in every vehicle I ever had. If you have drained your radiator and it is cold, take off the cap and fill it that way. If you have drained the engine block and have not change your thermostat, you will need to keep filling your expansion tank until everything is filled back up. I recommend changing your thermostat.
you replace lost coolant through the expansion tank located at the back of the engine bay but only when cold
If you mean the plastic overflow tank, replace it. If you mean the plastic tanks on either side of the radiator core, replace the radiator.
remove the radiator expansion tank (no need to remove water hoses ). pump is now easily removed by pulling straight up.
i take it you are talking bout expansion tank on a/c this is evaporation and is common on all vehicles if you are talking bout expansion tank on radiator, you have either got to much coolant in radiator,(check level when cold) or you have an air lock in the cooling system and need the system bled to remove air
It goes to an expansion tank. The expansion tank keeps the radiator full by allowing the hot coolant a place to go as it expands. If your old radiator had a cap, they've sold you the wrong one.
It goes into the expansion tank connected to the radiator.
On the expansion tank, on the right fender wall.
