how do I install the small part that holds the sun visor in place. I have new parts and don't know how to take apart the original sun visor.

Take a small flat head screw driver and pop the lamp lenses out , then you will see the 4 tabs that hold your visor on, pop the tabs out and remove the vanity base and you can see the bulbs. Then you will need to find the replacement bulb for them. Hope your bulbs aren't broken off, because they are almost impossible to get out. Hope this helps. Replace just the mirror unit (complete with cover). They are sold on ebay for between $15 - 25 per unit. You don't have to replace the entire visor.
