To replace the convertible lift cylinder on a 1967 Pontiac Lemans, first ensure the convertible top is in the down position for safety. Disconnect the battery and remove any interior panels obstructing access to the lift cylinders. Unbolt the old cylinder from its mounting points and disconnect the hydraulic lines, then install the new cylinder by reversing the process, ensuring all connections are tight and secure. Finally, refill the hydraulic fluid, check for leaks, and test the system before reassembling the interior.

A 1969 Pontiac Lemans convertible
On a 1969 Pontiac LeMans convertible, the "Pontiac" letters are typically spaced evenly across the trunk lid, positioned towards the center. The "LeMans" logo is located just below the Pontiac letters, also centered, with a similar spacing to maintain visual balance. The design emphasizes the Pontiac brand while highlighting the model name.
Pontiac LeMans was created in 1962.

The Pontiac LeMans was originally manufactured in 1962. In 1961 the name LeMans was added to the Pontiac Tempest as a top of the line trim package, being called the Tempest LeMans. But it wasn't until 1962 that the LeMans was a vehicle , not just a trim package.
