I don't know if your car is equipped with halogen or HID lights...in any event, the way you replace them are similar.
Pop the hood and go the back of the side that the light is out. You'll see a large, black plastic cover...pop the cover off and you should see the electrical connection.
You can slightly push in the housing and turn counter clockwise for a 1/4 turn and slide the bulb out. Whichever bulb you replace, make sure you do not touch the glass part of the bulb with your fingers. The oil from your hand can cause a hot spot on the glass bulb, and the intense heat these bulbs make can make them blow up. Use a clean cloth or tissue to handle the new bulbs. Re-insert the new bulb and put the plastic housing back on...you''re done.
Make sure you get the right size bulb for your purpose. It's also recommended that you replace both bulbs at the same time, since it's only a matter of time that the other bulb will go out.
HID bulbs can cost as much as $120.00 each...if you require HID's, you might want to check out some vendors on E-bay. I've seen those bulbs selling for 1/4 the price of OEM bulbs. Halogen bulbs should run about $15-20 each for a good quality bulb.

The inertia switch on a 1985 Mercedes 500 SEL is located in the passengers side kick panel.
I bought a 1992 300SL and the seats were so hard that I thought something was wrong. So I went to a showroom and sat in the seat of a 1998 500SL, same hard seats. To remedy the problem I had my upholstery specialist take my seats apart and replace the German horsehair/hard rubber fabric with modern foam rubber. The seats are much more comfortable now but not as comfortable as my Volvo. The Volvo also has cup holders, the Mercedes does not, which helps understand the hard seats.
