youll need to pull the dash out, its a lot of work, then disconnect the heater core hoses under the hood and change it the put the whole dash back in
Take it to a mechanic and say "will you fix the heater core?"
Replace it with a new one.
replace the heater core if that's not it start checking fuse
You have to pull the dashboard to get to it.
The computer on a 1993 Ford Ranger is located in the dash in the center just above the transmission hump. The computer is located just below the heater control panel.
One of these things is the cause. Thermostat stuck open, replace it. Heater core stopped up, backflush the hearter core, and service the cooling system. Heater temperature control valve defective, replace it.
took me about 2 days, you have to remove the dash completely to get the heater core out. I suggest paying to have it done. I sure will if it ever happens again
My guess is a leaking clutch master cylinder. Does this have a Manual or automatic transmission. B Clear. I've seen this plenty of times. either the chutch master, the speedo cable, or the heater core. is this a sweet smelling fluid? can you touch the fluid and rinse it off with water? if so it is a coolant leak, if oil is still there, it is oil from the trans, either manual or automatic. if it is clear and becomes cloudy when applying water it is probably brake fliud from the clutch master cylinder, replace it. if it is red, it probably is from the cable on an automatic transmission, replace the cable. if it is red or green and washes off with water it is probably your heater core, good luck with replacing this unit.
you have to remove the dash to get to it, it would save alot of time and aggravation to have someone do it for you. sure it will cost, but trust me, it took me 2 days to replace mine
you have to remove the dash to get to it, it is well worth it to pay someone else to do it, it took me 2 days to do mine
Replace blower motor resistor usually located in the duct work or out in engine compartment in ductwork by heater motor.
How do you replace the heater core on a jimmy?
