Simply replace the light fixture with a plugin. There is most likely a box behind the light that will either accept a plug as is or a cover place can be used to allow the use of a plug in that box.

Open the trunk, directly below the center brake light is the electrical plug and wire for the light. Depress the small tab on the plug that connects to the bulb in the center brake light. Pull the plug out of the connector. Next, release each of the two tabs on each side of the plug. Enter the back seat of the car and remove the brake light housing. Unscrew the bulb holder from the housing by turning it 1/4 turn counter-clockwise. Replace the bulb, replace the bulb holder, replace the housing (back hooks first then snap into place. Yes, one defective spark plug can cause the check engine light to come on. That one plug can be not firing properly and this would cause a miss on that cylinder. That miss would cause the ECU to set a fault code. The code will tell you what component is being effected. My advice is to replace that plug. Always replace plugs as a set, and never leave one old plug installed.
