Inside the rear wing, there are 2 X 10mm nut. Normally covered in road crud.
Clean them first and the saturate in wd-40.
Leave a while and then undo.
If the front of the bolt starts to spin on the inside of the filler flap, you have to either tear the plastic apart to grip the bolt or get creative with pliers.
hi jack up the rear of the car remove wheel remove wheel arch covers. you will then see the two 8mm nuts holding the petrol flap a bit tricky for access but possible . kind regards mark mechanic
The pump is the fuel injection system of an internal combustion chamber enginewhose pump plunger and barrel are a very closed laps fit to minimized leakage
Scenic fuel cap locks operate with the door system - it's a security thing - if you use the remote to unlock your doors then you will find the fuel flap will open. Of course it will lock when you use the remote to lock the doors.
The fuses are found ( at least on My 2001 version ) behind a plastic flap which can be pulled out just under the dash on the right hand side, This holds most of the fuses
car doors must be unlocked then pull petrol flap
how do I fit a petrol flap to a vauxhall meriva
in the top of the glove compartment you can see a fold down flap being held in place by 2 clips. Release clips and fuse board drops down. Cigarette lighter fuse is on this board.
Push the right hand side of it inwards.
I had the same problem on my Opel Corsa GSi (5 door model) - all doors unlocked but the electronically controlled petrol flap stayed locked. To fix it open rear door -remove small plastic cover seen under right hand shelf. reach in (difficult) and you will feel the control relay for the petrol flap - move it around whilst operating the remote control - you will feel the relay operating - eventually the petrol flap will open. add lubricating oil to the pin that you will see once the petrol flap opens - hopes this helps.
if you still have the old one and it has simply fallen off then hold it up to the hinge in the open position and from the top use a flat bladed screwdriver to prise open the strong metal spring clip that holds it in place. As you open the spring clip gently manoeuvre the flap back into position and you will feel the spring clip grip the flap back into position. If you have broken the flap and have a new or second hand part to fit then you simply undo the bolts that hold the hinge to the body and re secure your replacement flap.If your old flap is stuck in the closed position and the electric motor that unlocks the flap is not working then look inside the small compartment on the drivers side in the boot space and you will find the manual release mechanism.Good luck.
You need the vehicle unlocked to open the fuel flap. The central locking also locks the fuel flap on this model.
push on the right side should flip open
