Open up your tailgate and on the sides of the taillights will be screws, you need a Allen wrench or Allen type screwdriver. Unscrew them and pull out the taillight assembly (use a little muscle it'll come out,don't drop it) there you will find the bulb sockets gently twist out and replace the bulb ( the bulb number should be on the base,use this for replacement bulb) reinstall the taillight and put the screws back in.
NOTE: the driver side access to the screws are a little tight and the passenger side is completely visible when you open the tailgate (2 screws per tailight )..

To replace the dome light in a 2003 Jeep Liberty, first, use a flathead screwdriver or your fingers to gently pry the light cover off. Once the cover is removed, carefully pull out the old bulb from its socket. Insert the new bulb, ensuring it's securely in place, and then snap the cover back onto the light fixture. Test the light to ensure it's functioning properly.

Begin by removing the 2002 Jeep Liberty shift console retaining bolts. Lift the shift console up and the light bulb will be visible. Take hold of the light bulb, push in and turn at the same time to remove it. Reverse the process to install your new shift console light bulb.
