The last year Chevy Celebrity made was 1990 but generally speaking to replace a thermostat:
1. Using a suitable container drain the coolant below the level of the thermostat.
2. Remove the water outlet. The thermostat will be there.
3. Clean mating surfaces and install the replacement thermostat.
4. Put the bolts back in, replace the coolant and check for leaks.
