The Windstars use a timing chain and not a timing belt.
This is important because timing belts are much much easier to get at and replace, mainly because they do have to be replaced on a regular basis - routine maintenance.
Timing chains on the other hand rarely fail. And changing the chain, should you be one of the rarest of rare owners to suffer a failed or loose chain, is not in any way easy - and certainly not for a novice backyard mechanic.
First thing you purchase when having to replace a timing chain is a good manual. Don't rely on simple text advice and instructions - get a professionally written and illustrated repair manual.
