how do u replace the lower ball joint on a 1997 ford mustang

u can't just change the upper ball joint, u have to change the whole upper control arm. It is welded to the arm in one piece.

it can be... u just need to know what your doing and it will be easy

Unbolt/remove driveshaft. Use U-joint press to remove old U-joint, install new and replace driveshaft.

how do u change a timing belt on a 94 ford ranger need help

Watch this video on how to replace a u-joint to see if it helps. http://www.myjeepwrangler.com/ Fix-it > u-joint

not possible. the whole drive shaft needs replaced.

You can buy a jack at the ford dealer or u can go to a junk yard

Remove drive shaft and bring to a machine/auto parts store to have "U" Joint removed and new one pressed in ** If you can not afford that, you can use a vice to push the ujoint out and press the new one in.

I am not 100% sure what the question is, but here is a shot at it. If you are trying to replace the u-joint, there is a video at myjeepwrangler.com under Fix-it > u-joint

Check the U joints. answer opping sound indicates a dry u joint if its not to late , grease the joint if that doesnt fix it, replace the u joint

you need a set of pliers a hammer and a big socket that will fit in the hole where the u joint is. take the pliers sqeeze the ring together that's in it pull out. then take your socket and hammer and and hit the u joint out of the casing.

Our 1977 F-100 takes a 56" drive-shaft U-joint to U-joint

stop thinking your black there champ. if u have a ford ranger and your on wikianswers.com your prolly the whitest POS ever. Okay, so you don't have the answer?

u have to take all the lockin hub off and the rotor will about fall off, but u have to take all that stuff off. and u have to replace then inner bearin also, so when u get the rotors make sure u get the inner bearin and race....

in the manual if u dont have it u can download it from ford its the same as a ranger

shoudl be only a copuple of bolts to unscrew then take the belts offf but rember how u took it of because it has to go on the same way

can u use e85 in 1997 ford ranger ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- No , all 3 engine sizes ( 2.3 litre four cylinder , 3.0 litre V6 and 4.0 litre V6 ) are designed to use " regular " unleaded gasoline , 87 octane in a 1997 Ford Ranger

pull the drive line, pop the caps off the u-joint, and drive the u-joint out of the drive-line and install the new one.

On a 1958 Impala you change the center U joint you need to first place the car on jack stands. Next, remove the bolts or straps holding the U joint cross in place. Once removed, replace with the new center U joint and bolt back in place.

There is no cover around a u joint.

Ford stamps the u-joint in on their newer models, if it has never been changed the notches under where the snaprings would go have to be ground off.

has front end been lubed lately? if it has, then u need to pull cv joint apart and replace worn parts. it is an easy job if you have a shop manuel as well sometimes it is not the cv joint but the locking hubs. that is easier job than a cv joint
