Remove the wiring harness from the back of your 1986 Lincoln air conditioning blower motor. Remove the blower motor retaining bolts. Remove the fan on the front of the blower motor. Reverse the process to install the new blower motor.
You can get to the blower housing unit from under the hood located near the firewall. (This is contrary from how "Haynes" tells you to do it. You can't get to it by taking apart the dash.) Just take the blower housing cover off and presto, there's the blower motor easy to get to. Total time of installation for a person with some mechanical ability would be one and one-half hours.
You will only have high speed fan
Under (and inside) dash on passenger side.
Easy, First, Disconnect the negative battery cable, then remove your glove box, remove the duct between the blower and the heater box, unplug the wiring connector and the vaccum hose from the blower then remove the three mounting bolts and the blower assembly, then you take your new blower and replace every thing EXACTLY as you removed it in reverse order. be sure that all the mating surfaces are tightly sealed reattach blower duct checking that there are no leaks at its joint.
motor is mounted inside the door
replace a window lift motor for a 2002 gmc sierra?
If you are talking about the HVAC blower motor then it is mounted on the firewall behind you glove box on the passenger side. Just remove all the lower dash trim and you will see two large black boxes your blower motor is in one of those, I believe it is the one on the right.
Left side, on the firewall by the wiper motor
If the window motor runs, replace the plastic spacers with ball bearings or bolt nuts. Oliver said it.
