It's a pain, I just changed the one on my '94, remove the positive battery cable, remove the belly pan, remove the serpentine belt, remove two bolts that hold the alternator, disconnect the wiring connector and the hot wire nut, remove some of the hose and tubing clamps so you can drop the alternator down through the bottom and reverse the procedure to install. It's a pain, and I know I did some cursing so take your time.
To replace the alternator on a 1996 Lexus SC400, first disconnect the negative battery cable to ensure safety. Remove the serpentine belt by loosening the tensioner, then detach the electrical connections and mounting bolts from the alternator. Install the new alternator by reversing the removal steps, ensuring all connections are secure, and reattach the serpentine belt. Finally, reconnect the battery and test the alternator to ensure proper function.
All I have heard is to replace it.
Yes
To replace the water pump on a 1995 Lexus SC400, first, ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the negative battery cable. Drain the coolant, then remove the serpentine belt, and detach any components obstructing access to the water pump, such as the timing cover or crankshaft pulley. Remove the old water pump by unbolting it from the engine and clean the mounting surface before installing the new pump with a new gasket. Finally, reassemble all components, refill the coolant, and check for leaks.
How do you install a oil pan gasket on 1995 Lexus sc400
I use the Denso plugs in my SC400
Yes they will
I'm not sure on the Gs300 Lexus, but I have a 92 sc400 and there are 2 screws on both sides of the fuse that have to be removed before it can be taken out. Never try to force it, it will break. Hope this helps you
You can reset a maintenance light on a 92 Lexus SC400 by disconnecting the battery. Leave it disconnected for 10 to 15 minutes.
Yes it will, the only difference is that the SC300 is a 6 cyl. and the SC400 is a V8, the body is the same for both.
Yes you can.
