How do you replace an intake gasket on a 1999 Pontiac Montana 3400SFI?

Hey man. I used to work for GM and we used to do intakes all the time, its been a while but I'll give it a shot. Well first you have to disconnect the battery. Then drain the coolant. Then take out the main wiring harness that runs along the front of the engine and take out the oxygen sensors in the intake. Then remove the air box and filter. Next remove the two front torque restraints, they look like 2 black bars at the very front of the engine, you can�t miss them. Then start to take off the belt. Then take off the power steering pump and the alternator. Next take out the coolant rail that runs across in front of the engine. It is a black pipe. Oh, one more thing I forgot to tell you to do; take off spark plug wires 1 3 and 5 clearly mark them as to where they go and remove the unit from the car. Then start to take off your valve covers and clean off all the gasket material. Next remove the upper part of the intake and then the lower part and make sure you clean these parts really well so they do not leak again. I�m not two sure but if the fuel rail is under the upper part of the intake you must remove that two and make sure you do not drop the O-rings onto the combustion chamber as you are doing this, if you have to. After it is all clean put in your new gasket and put RTV where there is no gasket covering, it usually goes on the flat part, you will know what I mean when you get there because you will see where it came off. After putting it in set the lower intake in and bolt it down then add the two gaskets that go there and drop the upper intake in. Then follow the rest of the steps above but backwards and you will have done your own intake. Oh yeah and a little advise; this wont be the only time you do an intake on your car so keep these instructions. Oh and one more thing I forgot to mention, you have to replace every gasket that you take off even if they look good because once they come off they will never seal the same again.
