I replaced the ozygen sensor on a 1995 Civic VX (Hatchback). The part (the oxygen sensor) is rather expensive at more than $300, but easily removed and replaced. Once you have the new part, open the hood and look for a couple of wires coming out of the center of a silver bar (the header). These wires should connect the oxygen sensor to a wiring harness. Disconnect the harness and start the car to see if the ENGINE light is now off. If it is ... sucess. Use a wrench to unscrew the unit from the header and replace by reversing the process. Finish by re-connecting the oygen sensor to its wiring harness. The ENGINE light should stay off. If it comes on again, you have other problems.
The oxygen sensor on a Honda Civic is replaced by disconnecting the wiring harness and removing the sensor using a socket wrench. Anti-seize paste is applied to the threads, a new sensor is torqued into place, and the wires reconnected.
If you open the hood of your Honda Civic, most likely you will locate the oxygen sensor (O2) mounted in the exhaust manifold, above the exhaust pipe flange. On some models the exact location might vary, but you can always find the sensor by following the exhaust manifold and pipe. Depending on the year model of your Honda Civic, you may find a Primary Oxygen Sensor (PHO2) right before the catalytic converter and a Secondary Oxygen Sensor (SHO2) right after the catalytic.
To replace the oxygen sensor on a Honda Odyssey, first unscrew the sensor. Then use a 22 mm socket or 7/8 inch wrench to replace the oxygen sensor.
i dont no
Unplug it and unscrew it.
It is located on the header.
The only thing you can do to them is change them.
it is in the exhaust manifold,or exhaust pipe...
In the glove box
i would like a wiring diagram for a Honda civic o2 sensor
The oxygen sensor on a 1999 Honda Civic is located on top of the catalytic converter. The catalytic converter is under the car.
My wife is paying 441.00 for her Honda civic '05.
