Answer

Take it to the dealer unless you feel comfortable removing the interior panels at the rear of the car. There are two bolts which hold the rear taillight assembly to the body of the car which are inaccessible unless you remove the panel. The taillight assembly cannot be removed from outside the car.

there are actually 3 bolts that hold it to the frame 10mm socket or wrench for these also a plastic plug with 2 flanged ends also holds it to the frame, just remove the panel, pull the plastic rivets from the frame to the carpeting around the area to access the bolts undo the 3 bolts. Then I had to use an exacto knife to trim the plastic flanges off the plastic plug(dont worry if you screw the three bolts back on and use loctite on them your taillight wont fall off) took me about 25 mins for install and replacement of the carpeting good as new and only cost me 7 bucks for the light and now i have a spare.

Why would parking brake light and battery light stay on in my 2003 Kia Sedona?

Park brake light - might mean the e-brake pedal is slightly moved down to initiate light. Battery light - means the alternator is bad or battery bad etc. Parking brake light also comes on when the brake fluid runs low... This happened on a 2003 kia Rio the next day the car died it is either because of a bad battery, alternator or alternator fuse
