Go to nearest garage. hope this will help.
You remove the caliper only to replace pads, and then caliper mounting bracket to replace rotor.
how to replace break pads on 2001 4runner
How do you replace the front break pads on a Toyota corolla .
you need to replace your break pads
I own a diesel (1.9dti) Renault megane 2000 edition. I change the brake pads(front) every 15000 Miles approximately.
you pull off the front wheel, then you remove the break caliper, then replace the break pads,.., it helps if you have a large C-clamp..
I went to a local shop today and they charged me $306 just to replace my FRONT brake pads and rotors
I assume you removed the wheel already. The break pads are pinned inside a housing. To get them out you need to get those spring-loaded pins out (tapping the end that is sticking out with a hammer should get them to pop out). Remove the bridge piece between the pads, remove the pads and replace.
It depends on the type of driving you do. I drive in the city and have had to replace the front break pads after 20,000 miles. You need to remove the wheel and check the condition of the rooter and the think-ness of the pads
no reset needed, just replace the brake pads sensors
This is actually very easy, but you'd need to buy a c-clamp from the parts store to be able to suppress the caliper to fit the break pads in. Once caliper is suppressed - put the break pads in, fit the caliper with break pads into the rotor and put the wheel back - you're done.
It all depends on how hard you use your brakes. If you do a lot of driving in the city you will have to change the pads more often than if you drive in a rural area. If its already hard to slow down then it is time to replace the pads. Also make sure you break line is good as well
