How do you replace broken door handles on a 1995 Geo Prizm?

From the 1994 Prizm service manual but should be the same for 1995:

Inside Handle:

1. Remove door trim (see below)

2. Unclip inside door handle form from door trim.

3. Replace and clip door handle onto from door trim.

4. Install front door trim.

Outside handle.

1. Raise window

2. Remove front door trim

3. Pull water deflector far enough away to gain clearance to the outside door handle control rods. (It looks like the water deflector is the large piece in the shape of the lower portion of the door).

4. Remove two control rods from outside door handle.

5. Remove two bolts and outside door handle from door.

6. Reverse all steps.

Remove front door trim

1. Disconnect negative terminal of battery.

Unclip trim cover from front door armrest (with power windows).

2. Remove 2 service screws from armrest (looks like they bolt the armrest into the door).

3. Remove the regulator handle (window crank) using a cloth to pull off the snap ring (if equipped). They show a picture of holding a cloth underneath the handle, knob pointing down, hands to the left and right pulling back and forth. I am not sure how this works.

4. Remove one screw from inside door handle bezel.

Gently unclip from door trim from door, disengaging retaining clips.

5. Remove control rod from inside door handle.

6. Remove power window/door lock switches electrical connector if equipped.

7. Remove left side door lock switch electrical connector if equipped.

8. Remove door trim from vehicle.

9. Revers to re-install.
