That vehicle doesn't have a cabin filter.
You can find the flter box in front of the box that says "do not open" the top is held in place by three clips and you clip them off first, them prise the front parts slightly with a screwdeiver, undo the big jubilee clip first on the intake pipe, the filter is then accessable.
Hey Jerry==Find the filter in the fuel line under the truck. Then there are special tools required to remove the flter available at the parts store relatively cheap. GoodluckJoe
It is under the back of the cab on the inside of the unibody rail.
Fuel flter, air filter, spark plugs.

Look at the frame rail under the battery R Hand side it is bolted to the frame here its about 4in.long and is metal looks like a can hope this helps
One is in the front engine compartment. It is close to the driver's side rear corner of the engine compartment close to the master cylinder. The other fuel filter is located at the fuel tank. You must jack the car up and remove the driver's side rear wheel and get under the wheelwell to acess the filter. Consult a Haynes or Chilton manual to see pictures of these filters. each of them should cost about $ 4. They are cheap but the rear flter is a bit tricky to replace.
Hi, Your 1992 Tracker holds 4.5 quarts of oil including what is in the flter. Hope this helps and now you know that when you go to a mass oil change place and they tell you that they use 5 quarts, tell them you want the extra 1/2 quart! Steve H.
Try an 85394 carquest filter or equivalent for the kawasaki 11 hp, 9 hp uses the same, the air filter is a 88139 carquest. Use standard 10-30 motor oil, and I recommend using 20% Lucas oil stabilizer.
There is a special tool that is required to take off the flter. You can purchase the tool at your local auto parts store. There is a metal one or you can buy a set of plastic ones that are supposed to work better. It is very difficult to change it. I tried for almost an hour and decided to call my mechabic who only charged me $15 to do it and the metal tool cost me almost $7.
checking it probably wont do you much good, you should probably just replace it. under the 1/4 panel there is a cover looking thing it has three bolts. take them off and the shield comes off. have a bucket handy for gas to dump. there are a couple fuel lines maybe one maybe more (i know this sounds stupid but i have to do this tomorrow and i just read it in my chilton) anyway clamp the line(s) and pull the hose clamps down you will need to push up on the filter then break the lines loose. take filer out. to put in a new one do this in reverse and make sure the arrow on the new filter is facing the front of the car.
