The furnace can be but it is not a good idea. Safety code requires a disconnect switch outside the area where the furnace is situated. This switch is used for an emergency shut down in case something electrically goes wrong with the furnace. In modern homes these furnaces are wired to a dedicated 120 volt circuit from the distribution panel. From the panel, the circuit is routed to the safety switch. From the safety switch, the circuit then continues to the furnace load.
The clutch safety switch keeps the car from starting unless the clutch is pushed in. On the top of the clutch pedal there is a little black box with a plunger on it. When the clutch is pushed in the electrical connection to the starter solenoid is completed. The switch just unscrews from the bracket.
If it is an automatic it will not have a clutch safety switch it will have a neutral safety switch
where do you install a neutral safety switch on a 1996 saturn
the clutch safety switch is located under the dashboard, on most cars, it is connected directly to the clutch pedel.
the reverse safety back up switch is located on top of the transmission next to the clutch resivior
behind the clutch.....
the neutral safety switch can be found by following the clutch pedal up into the bottom of the dash. its usually one or two 10mm bolts, and a connector. super simple to replace, it'll be the ONLY electronic piece connected to the clutch pedal
DO YOU MEAN THE NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH?
The clutch safety switch is on the clutch pedal shaft. It is a small black box with a plunger coming out of it. When you push the clutch down, the clutch safety switch connects the starter and it should turn over. If it doesn't you may have to replace it or adjust it. It's adjustable. Just adjust it until the red plunger is fully retracted out of the switch when the clutch pedal is pushed in all the way.
No, there is no inertia switch on any Saturn.
