You need to go through the door. They're not like many other cars' mirrors where you can access from above the door. This means you will need to remove the door panel and get your hand behind the metal framing which houses the window and window regulator and wires and stuff. On the right side of the door, with panel off, closest to front of car, you can unscrew speaker and move wire clips and such out of the way. There will be two bolts that you will have to unscrew to get the mirror off. Get the WINDOW IN DOWN position before any of this. That way you can have a little peephole through the top part of the door looking at the bolts on the mirror as you remove them. At least, that was helfpful to me when I removed the second of two bolts holding the mirror farthest from the front of the car. You should able to get that first bolt, however, closer to the front of the car without much trouble. You'll basically need a 10mm socket and socket wrench to do the unscrewing part. The mirror, if a power operated one, will lastly have its power cord connected to a longer cord which can be seen inside the door once the door panel and such has been removed. Utlimately, to free the mirror once the two bolts are disconnected, just unclip the cord on the mirror from the cord that continues from within the door behind the panel. Your mirror can then just pull right out, the tail of the cord to follow, and installation of a new mirror will be just the reverse. As it probably goes without saying, you will need to know how to get that door panel off. That in itself is another task which you will need to investigate. I would help you but I gotta run. There should be some videos out there for that though. It's not that bad. Good practice too if you ever need to replace other stuff behind the panel. Now go get 'em!!

mirror CavalierI answered this on another post. 'Power mirror on Cavalier'.
you can not pea brain
You replace them by first putting the mirror in the down position. Now look between the mirror and you will see two tabs(the same color as your truck) take a screw driver and lift them up. This will remove the painted part of the mirror. Replace the bulb and replace the painted part of the mirror and you're done. Bulb type: #906/921
The motor itself is not replaceable. You have to replace the whole mirror assembly.
You probally wont have to replace the whole mirror assembly but just the glass mirror part itself
If only the glass is broken take the car to your local glass repair shop.
