Carefully yank the rear seat back, up and away from the rear deck. The seat back is secured with 3 hooks, facing up. Then pull out the two black plugs behind the seat, holding the lip of the deck lid. The black plastic plugs are not screw threaded, long nose pliers work well. Finally, remove 2 screws from the rear brake light assembly, and detach light bulbs, to free the assembly housing. Also, remove a final screw on a metal bracket under the brake light. Now the deck lid can be removed, revealing the subwoofer in the center. Easy to remove the 4 hex bolts on the speaker, and replace. The speaker does not have any custom wire plugs, just 2 standard crimp tabs.
