the bearing is one non-dissasemblable unit, it has to be pressed out and in. best done by someone who has the right tools.
Good news, since the Solara is a front wheel drive car there is no "drive shaft" so engine replacement wouldn't be necessary. <smart alek mode off> Even if a bearing on one of the halfshafts going from the transmission to the front wheels is bad only the bearing would need to be replaced. If it's on the transmission side it 'might' involve removal of the transmission. I'd suggest you purchase a Clymer manual for your car for more information.
