The Infinite I 30 uses a high output motor for comfort and performance. Changing the oil and the filter during regular intervals is important to the life of the car. The recommended interval for changing the oil is every 3,000 miles. You will want to replace the filter with every oil change. Replacing one without the other will defeat the purpose of changing either because the old engineoil will contaminate a new filter, and vise versa.

In my 2001 I30t owners manual the fuel filter is listed as a non-serviceable item. I checked the manual after buying one to replace it and couldn't locate it easily. Check your manual or call the dealer to be sure.

The fuel filter is located under the hood on the firewall. If you stand on the driver's side it will be roughly 1 foot in and about half a foot down on the firewall.
I have a 1999 I30 Limited and when the gas light comes on, I fill-up 17 gallons. Tank capacity might be 1 or 2 more gallons above that.

The fuel filter is in a complicated location. It sits on the body frame almost directly under the front windshield inside the engine compartment. You can replace it by removing what is in your way that you feel comfortable with. I replaced mine this way. It was a struggle because the space is tight but you only have two hose connection points and a few screws that hold it in place so you should be able to do it. It is challenging though because of the placement of the fuel filter.
