its under dash on left side of steering column theres a rod that runs from your blinker switch when you pull on it that pushes down this switch on your column It may be difficult to remove without lowering column. I unplugged old switch, on '89, pluggged in new switch, set new switch on dim, and wired switch to column so now only have dim lights but avoided paying a lot to a garage to replace switch.
