Disconnect battery. Check you have radio code beforehand. You must remove steering column cowls and switch stalk assy before removing instrument panel. Prise out and unplug clock, push out bank of switches and unplug. Remove triangle screw cover from LH side of centre vents, remove screw. Remove two screws from top of inst panel then gently pull off the complete surround. As the bottom part of this is fastened with spring clips on RH side gently prise out with round end of say a nail file. Unplug stalk unit connectors then centre screw,remove stalk unit. Remove four screws holding inst panel,pull unit forward to reveal multy connector. Push end of small screwdriver under retaining clip,fold back to enable removal. Remove inst panel forward then to the left. There are three filament lamps in unit, two at top,one below. Twist to remove. After changing lamps,replace parts in reverse order. Check stalk unit is correctly seated before replacing screw. Test the self cancelling works before replacing cowls. A magnetic probe is useful to prevent losing screws. Reconnect battery.
